A LETTER FROM SWTS
San Marcos, Texas is a really beautiful town. The most recent stop on the EDA tour was for a performance at Southwest Texas State University - my first gig at a college in Texas. Over 200 students attended the show in the Teaching Theatre of the LBJ Student Services Building - and they were a great crowd. The post-show Q&A session was really interesting, too. Lots of good questions about helping friends and family as well as how to deal with a society that encourages the "eating disordered" mindset.
One of the great things about the last few shows has been having friends and family in the audience. Last night was no different: Uncle Mike and Aunt Beth came down from Austin to check out H2M. It was great to see then and we had a nice dinner afterwards.
Thanks to everyone at SWTS - especially Blanca Sanchez-Navaro with the Counseling Center for bringing me there. Hope to come back again!
One last note about the weather - it was up to 70° when I rolled into town yesterday. I don't think I'm going to be so lucky weather-wise at the next stop - New Hampshire Technical Institute!
